SUGGESTIONS FOR JOINING

  1. Use the green button at the top of this page to access the Zoom link (scroll up).
  2. Use the black button called “Class Materials” to access electronic files, including the release form, surveys, and note-taking slides for printing. Content will be added here from week to week.
  3. Join on video with your partner from a shared, hands-free device with a large screen, if possible.
  4. Join from a quiet location where you have privacy.
  5. Stay unmuted, so we can interact more like we would in person.
  6. Anytime you have a question or comment, feel free to speak up, even if I’m discussing something else! Your voice is welcome.
  7. For Sessions 2-5 you’ll need enough space to spread out the 8×5 foot floor mat. If you’re sensitive to the smell of new plastic, you may want to air it out prior to our gathering.
  8. Before we gather, try to get a full night of rest, exercise, and eat well. There’s nothing that requires more glucose and brain energy expenditure than deep sharing and connecting.
  9. After: Allow for 30-60 minutes after each two hour workshop, so there’s room for us to run-over if needed and allow time for you to connect or process the experience.
  10. The workshop works best when you create a “retreat” or “get-away” experience. Plan time to do other things you enjoy between sessions, so you enjoy a relaxed environment together, have restful rejuvenation time, and can let the workshop sink in.

ZOOM RELATED TIPS

  1. Feel free to verbally interrupt at any time. You may also use the chat to store a thought you’d like to share later, and I’ll check in with you as I see it.
  2. If there are audio issues, which most often applies to soft background music I might play as you use the Connection System, select “Use Original Sound” on the top left of the screen.
  3. In case of a poor connection, consider switching to 5G internet access or briefly leave the meeting and rejoin.

RESTORATIVE THINGS TO BRING

• Your partner.

• A small object from home that symbolizes the meaning of your connection (one object each).

• Your workbook and something to write with.

• Floor mat and touch mats beginning Session 2.

• Comfy clothing.

• Fun food and drinks (like coffee, juice, or soda). Feel free to munch on-screen.

• Anything you’ll enjoy that will help set apart the space, like candles and cozy seating.
